To the Parents/Guardians of Miller School Students:

  1. February Culture Connections:

  • Tomorrow, Thursday, February 5th:  Grade level yoga classes will be held with Pamela Pinterparsons.  *Students should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes for this event!

  • Friday, February 13th:  The 4th Grade will attend an Appalachian Trail Presentation.

2.  CHANGE-ing the World Charity Drive:

During the week of February 9th through 13th Miller School students and staff will be doing a coin drive for the Holliston food pantry. The goal is to have every student donate spare change from their piggy bank, from one penny to one dollar. If you would rather not use money from your piggy bank, you could collect your family's empty bottles and cans and redeem them for money at the grocery store or at a redemption center.

  • Goal: Raise at least raise $650 (because that's around the number of students in Miller school) to give to the Holliston food pantry. Russo Insurance Agency will match the amount of money that we raise and then Arbella Insurance Company will match Russo Insurance Agency's donation.

  • Every student that makes a donation will receive a paper heart to put on the food pantry “Wall of Hearts” in the Miller School  lobby.

A very special thank you to fourth grader, Kathleen Russo and Russo Insurance Agency, for coordinating this event and making a difference in our community!

3. Special Olympics Hosted at Holliston High School:

Special Olympics MA in conjunction with five MA School Districts will be hosting students with intellectual disabilities to showcase their track and field skills at Holliston High School on Friday, April 10, 2015. This will be the 3rd Annual 5 Town School Day Games! Student volunteers will help organize and manage the day’s activities and will promote inclusion, acceptance, and respect through this event.
