UPDATE as of 10/6/16: The original parent letter below regarding the Global Read Aloud mentions that all traditional and Montessori classrooms were reading Pax by Sara Pennypacker. Since this letter, some classrooms have decided to read the BFG by Roald Dahl instead. Both are valuable books connected to The Global Read Aloud. Our first week has started off strong!

The Global Read Aloud is an opportunity for students and teachers to connect with readers around the world by reading a common book! Please look at the following parent letter and presentation for all of the exciting details!
