Upcoming Dates

New! Wear PINK Tomorrow Friday, October 22nd!
Real Kids Wear Pink is a challenge to all students nationwide - no matter the age - to wear pink on the annual Real Kids Wear Pink Day to fight back against breast cancer. Kids can make a difference in the fight against cancer in our own community. Participation is optional.

New! Miller Fire Drill Success!
This morning, students at both Miller and Placentino participated in a fire drill. We are so proud of our Miller students as everybody exited the building safely and quietly.

School Council
We are currently seeking candidates for two open positions on the Fred W. Miller School Council. Please click here for more information.

Virtual Parent/Teacher Conferences
Preschool through grade 5 parent/teacher conferences will be held virtually in December.

  • Afternoon Conferences: December 10th and 15th
    • Miller students will dismiss at 10:30AM for an early release on these dates 
  • Evening Conferences: December 7th and 16th

Walking School Bus (Safe Routes to School)
The Walking School Bus will run until Thanksgiving each Wednesday morning with a parent chaperone to drive the bus from Blair Square. Please click here to sign up!

Open Positions at HPS
If you know anyone looking to work for Holliston Public Schools, we are still looking for lunch monitors as well as a fulltime floating nurse to help with contact tracing and testing protocols. In addition, we are also still looking for daily substitutes. Feel free to share the fliers for any of these.

Important Reminders from our Health Office

  • If your child is not feeling well, please do not send them to school. Additionally, please make sure to email the nurse, Mrs. Jordan at jordanm@holliston.k12.ma.us to make her aware
  • All students should pack 2-3 extra masks to keep in their backpacks 
  • We encourage students to bring reusable water bottles to school so that they can stay hydrated throughout the day

PTO Fundraisers (Read-A-Thon, Pizza Party, & Book Fair)!

  • Our month of fundraising kicks off TODAY! Here are the many ways you can participate to help. Every penny raised in October goes back into the classrooms, libraries, and spaces our kids use every day. Thank you for supporting our kids and their learning. Click here for more information about the Read-A-Thon and also be sure to read about the upcoming Pizza Party Fundraiser
  • Online Scholastic Book Fair - The Book Fair is online and helps students discover new books, favorite characters, and more! Every purchase earns our school rewards for much needed resources. Plus, shipping is free on book-only purchases over $25.

COVID Updates
We are encouraging families to give consent for on-campus COVID Testing as part of our COVID testing options this school year.

New! Red Sox Spirit Day TOMORROW!
We will be having a Red Sox Spirit Day tomorrow, Friday, October 15th, to help cheer the Red Sox on in their first game of the American League Championship Series against the Houston Astros. Staff and students are encouraged to wear Red Sox apparel or red!

Food Pantry Donations
Tomorrow, Friday October 15th, is our food pantry collection day. Once a month, our school collects items for the Holliston Pantry Shelf. Donating items to the food pantry is completely optional.
